Salida featured in 5280 Magazine

Salida is getting some love from 5280 Magazine.  It states that there really is not a bad time to visit centrally located Salida.  The publication featured a list of things to do in Salida in its October edition. Among the many activities and eateries recommended, visiting the Ploughboy Market made the top of the list of “if you could do one thing” in Salida.

Amicas Pizza & Microbrewery, Rivers Edge Bar & Restaurant, Cafe’ Dawn and Boathouse Cantina also made the cut.

The “local secret” is Beeyond the Hive (now Beekeeper’s Honey Boutique), a beekeeping operation that dates back to 1908.  They are dedicated to all things honey. The article highlighted the chai spice creamed honey.

The “stroll” section suggests the Palace Hotel and shopping on F Street. It highlighted Dandelion Ranch, Fringe, Art and Salvage Gallery and the SteamPlant Event Center with their gallery and sculpture garden/

Of course, it’s impossible to write about Salida without mentioning the seemingly endless amount of outdoor activities.  As the article suggests, “bring a bike or a kayak.”
