Salida Spartan Football

The Upper Arkansas Valley rivalry between the Salida Spartan and Buena Vista Demon Football is continuing on Friday night.  Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a tailgate dinner from 5:00 to 6:30. The menu is pulled pork sandwich, chips and a drink for $7.00.  Can’t attend?  You are in luck, the game will be broadcast live at Salidalive.com.  We have our very own commercial!

Salida Spartan Football team has a winning record.  Friday night is the final game of the season.  The senior players and their parents will be recognized at half time.

On Saturday the Spartan girls and boys Cross Country teams will compete at the Colorado 3A State Cross Country Championships.  The meet will be held at the Norris Penrose Event Center, Colorado Springs.

Spartan Boys Soccer heads into the first round of the state playoffs, starting this Friday Oct 24th, hosted by Crested Butte. The Spartans will face Liberty Commons in a 3:00pm game to be played at Western’s Gateway Field in Gunnison.  It is the field the Western women’s soccer uses, right by McDonalds. With a win on Friday, the Spartans will play in Round two on Saturday at 3:00pm.

Volleyball- SHS Lady Spartans Volleyball will finish the regular season with games at Florence and Lamar.
